Under the ongoing anti-drug campaign in Jammu & Kashmir, the Drug Control Department and Srinagar Police carried out a joint operation, inspecting several medical shops and pharmaceutical establishments.

During the inspection, officials thoroughly examined medicine sales, records of controlled drugs, and mandatory documentation. According to authorities, the main objective of the drive is to prevent the misuse and illegal supply of medicines.

During the investigation, three medical shops were found violating regulations and maintaining improper records. Following this, the administration took immediate action and sealed the establishments.

Officials stated that the campaign against drugs and the illegal trade of medicines will continue, and strict action will be taken against any individual or institution involved in negligence or unlawful activities.
