📢 Drugs Directly Linked to Terror Funding: LG Manoj Sinha
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that along with the fight against drug abuse, special focus is also being laid on the development of border villages. He stated that drugs are directly linked to terrorism and terror funding, adding that the neighbouring country has been sending narcotics into Jammu and Kashmir for the past five years.
In an interview, the LG said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had presented the vision of a “Drug-Free India” in 2020. The government is currently working on two major strategies:
✔️ Breaking the drug supply chain
✔️ Running awareness campaigns against drug abuse among youth
At the same time, efforts are being made to develop border villages as “Vibrant Villages” so they can move forward with the vision of a developed India.
The LG also said that after the abrogation of Article 370, delimitation and elections were conducted peacefully, and as assured by the Prime Minister and Home Minister, Jammu and Kashmir’s statehood will also be restored.

▪️ 856 people arrested
▪️ 677 kg narcotics seized
▪️ 410 driving licences cancelled
▪️ Recommendation made to suspend RCs of 286 vehicles
