India has achieved another major milestone in defence technology with the successful testing of the indigenous ‘Suryastra’ Rocket System at the Chandipur Test Range in Odisha.

Developed by Indian private company Nibe Limited, the long-range rocket system is capable of accurately targeting enemies up to 300 kilometers away.

India successfully tested two variants of Suryastra — 150 KM and 300 KM guided rocket systems. Both rockets reportedly hit their targets with high precision.

According to defence experts, if inducted into the Indian Army on a large scale, the system could significantly enhance India’s ability to target enemy command centers, radar stations, and military bases across borders.

The successful test is being seen as another important step in strengthening India’s indigenous defence technology and military capabilities.
