Speed Radar Deployed in Sidhra to Crack Down on Overspeeding and Stunt Riding

Traffic police have deployed a speed radar gun in the Sidhra area on the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway to monitor vehicle speed. This step has been taken after a rise in overspeeding and dangerous bike stunts, especially during evening hours.

The radar gun will record the speed of every passing vehicle, and those violating the speed limit will be issued e-challans. Along with this, vehicle photos and violation details (location and time) will also be captured.

According to traffic officials, overspeeding has been a major cause of road accidents in the area. Strict monitoring and enforcement are expected to improve road safety and ensure better compliance with traffic rules.
